Search engine sumbission is simply not necessary. Some SEO services will offer to sumbit your website to hundreds or thousands of search engines. Truth is, there are only a handful of search engines which make up for about 95% of all web traffic. Search engines actually prefer to find your website naturally, through a back link or a directory listing. If your website is taking advantage of good search engine optimization management, your site will be found and indexed. If you are going after link popularity to increase your pagerank, which you should be, your site will be indexed even faster.
